Unfinished 30 Things

Last week's bucket list reminded me of the things still to do on my 30 Things list from 2012. Oh dear, four years later and I'm no closer to ticking any of them off! I just had a peek and some of them don't seem anywhere near as important as back then, so that's cool. These, however, are still on the agenda:
  • Sort out proper storage for my favourite belongings
  • Walk the beautiful Jurassic Coastline
  • Finish writing The Dalton Bridges Saga
  • Self publish an informative eBook or a children’s book on Amazon
  • Catalogue my last 10 years of travels
  • Take a weekend TEFL course

I heart London by Lindsey Kelk

Back on home turf, Angela is visiting her friends and family after two years away from home. I loved the cast in this book. We got to know Angela's parents better and her best friend Louisa, now with baby in tow. This story really developed her life outside of the States and I particularly enjoyed the way Kelk unravelled Angela's relationship with her parents. Humourous, comical, emotional - at times!  Simply a really heartwarming read with the usual road bumps along the way, that we've come to expect of Angela and her life. I thought this was the end of the road for this series, but I believe there are a couple more I need to hunt down...

London Weekend with Mum

Never mind that a weekend in London with my Mum cost the same as a long weekend in Europe - it's kind of what you expect anyway - and besides, we had a great time enjoying the marathon vibe and St Georges celebrations last weekend.

Lovely hotel in Kensington with a pool, so I even managed an early Sunday morning swim, excellent seats at Jersey Boys with snacks  and drinks delivered to us during the interval and fab food at the Churchill Arms, said to be Churchill's Grandfather's local pub. I don't believe in doing things by halves!

Celebrating the Great in Great Britain

From perfected, consistently brilliant talent to... you blow my mind fresh, new talent...
And they are best friends - which makes it even better.

I am a massive fan of BGT and this dance act (below) blew me away. Ingeniously put together - music and dance nostalgia!

National Treasures

Before we lose anymore of our National Treasures this year, I would like to dedicate this blog post to the ones that have passed. For some reason, Victoria Wood's death hit me particularly hard. She was amazing. They were all amazing. These are the icons I grew up with, who have influenced me in so many ways.
For a lover of words, this is pure genius! Spot a very young Patricia Hodge and Julie Walters ☺️

Iconic "will have you in stitches" sketch

And bringing it up-to-date, sadly minus our other funny Ronnie, but still brilliant comedy
