They hadn't enjoyed Carlisle Castle as much as they'd hoped, so they
went in search of another castle and visited the much more impressive
Castle Howard, said to be Yorkshire's finest stately home and gardens. And
it didn't disappoint! Only 15 miles north of York, Castle Howard is a
private residence, the home of the Carlisle branch of the Howard family
for more than 300 years.
Sadly no pics though - think they were having too much of a good time!
